Ray lives alone. He has suffered a stroke and been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. On the day that his granddaughter arranges for him to move into an old people's home, Ray prepares for a reunion with two of his friends from the Spanish Civil War.
As the veterans reminisce, images of their younger selves appear, reliving their dangerous days in Spain.
Cast doubling is possible. See original production for details.
