Hugh Leonard
'Senna for Sonny' is set in Waltham Terrace in 1929.
Senna for Sony was originally presented alongside 'The Lily Lally Show' (listed separately) under the umbrella title 'Chamber Music'.
Recently returned from a seven year exile, Chas (married to Roisin) is about to present his new invention for the approval of an old civil war adversary, who is now the Minister for Defence. Much depends on the success of this demonstration, but domestic life must meanwhile go on. Sonny, the Mangans' pride and joy, has not visited in two days and a coming rainstorm stirs poignant memories for Roisin.
