John Quinn(3)
Set in Murphy's home town and the ante-room of Eternity, present day (1971).
Clifford Bax' 'Prelude and Fugue' was presented with the two winners of the O. Z. Whitehead prize, "Doesn't Anyone Remember Murphy" by John Quinn and "Partly Furnished" by Barry L Hillman.
In this light comedy, Murphy is dead , but because his paperwork is not quite up to scratch, he returns from the dead and is unrecognised, whilst waiting for Saint Peter (the civil servant in the ante-room of Heaven) to sort things out.
