    Squire Lawless has taken a finacial tumble on the horses and is consoling himself with the Bottle. Mount Lawless is decaying and has sunk to the new low of taking in paying guests. Squire Lawless is now being haunted by the ghost of St. Broney(a fetish of the very unfriendly natives) becuase he had removed a stone cross that was hers.
