Ulick Burke
The action of the play takes place in the West of Ireland in the present day. (1931)
Michael Gorman arrives home to the family farm at Cloonagh with his bride, a servant girl from Dublin. His mother is contemptuous of his new wife and matters degenerate further when the latter discovers that James Conroy, the man who had previously deserted her, is in fact Mrs. Gorman's son-in-law.
