  • Synopsis

    A certain Miss McNeill comes to teach the O'Carrolls about advanced farming methods and causes a certain amounte of consternation. Only the farmer's brother, Nic, takes Miss McNeill seriously. Inspired by her teachings, Nic rebels against his lowly position in the household and makes off with as a sum of money from his older brother, thus leaving his niece without a dowry and the rest of the family penniless.
