  • Synopsis

    The story of the mystical spanish saint, Teresa of Avila. The play chronicles the setting up of the first Carmelite Reformed convent, the saint's vow of obedience to her confessor, Father Gracian, the establishment of the convent at Seville, the onslaught of the Observance section, the trumped uou scandal involving Father Gracian, Teresa's petition to the King and the re-establishment of the Reformed convents. It ends with her last vision, shortly before her death.
