Owen McCafferty
Owen McCafferty (b. 1961) is a Belfast-based playwright. His recent work includes 'Shoot The Crow' (Druid Theatre Company, 1997), 'Mojo Mickybo' (Kabosh, 1998), 'The Elasticity of Supply and Demand', 'Closing Time', 'Troubled', and 'Court No. 1' as part of Tinderbox's award-winning 'Convictions' in 2000. McCafferty also wrote the text for 'No Place Like Home' (Tinderbox Theatre Company, 2001). His 2003 play 'Scenes from a Big Picture' (listed here) went on to win the John Whiting Award, the London Evening Standard's Charles Wintour Award for new playwriting and the Meyer-Whitworth Award.
