Setting
The action of the play takes place in the sitting-room of Theo's house.
Synopsis
A melodrama about Theo, a sururban widower with an invalid son and a doting daughter who shares his house with his sister-in-law and a maid. Julian, an architect with a penchant for beating his wife, is a friend of the family to the extent that Theo is in love with Julian's mother Clara, a revelation that gives the play its fuse.
