Bewley's Cafe Theatre is the only year-round venue dedicated to producing Lunchtime Theatre. As a production company there is a particular emphasis on staging new Irish writing, comedy and lesser-known works by established authors. All productions are easily and readily available to tour both nationally and internationally, generally featuring small casts and minimal set requirements.

    CHANGE OF ADDRESS

From February 16th, Bewley's Cafe Theatre is taking up residency at the Powerscourt Theatre, on the top floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, for the duration of the renovations at Bewley’s Cafe, Grafton Street. Lunchtime Theatre will continue every Monday-Saturday at 1pm, with the usual high standard, quality productions which in the next few months sees us welcome the likes of Peter Sheridan, Phelim Drew, Karl Shiels and Noni Stapleton to our stage. We are delighted to have found an alternative theatre so close to our original location and one so ideally suited to maintaining the ambience and intimacy for which the Cafe Theatre is famed. Lunch will be available as usual, provided by the wonderful Pepper Pot Café of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.

    TO GET THERE:

Walk all the way down Johnson’s Court (the lane to the right as you face Bewley's Cafe), the Powerscourt Townhouse is straight ahead of you. Take the stairs or lift to the theatre on the top floor. (It's just 115 steps away!)
