Simon Doyle is a playwright, librettist, and also makes longform video art for live music. His plays include The Black Crow (1995); Snooks! (1996); The Cave (1997); The Sandman (1998); and The Truth of the Moon (2000); Oedipus Loves you (2006; co-writer Gavin Quinn); Frogs (2008); Snakes (2008). His libretti include Obegon (2000; composer Simon O'Connor), Thwaite (2003; composer Jürgen Simpson), Gas (2007; composer Donnacha Dennehy). Among his performance texts are There Where (2001), Pebbles (2001), [h]Interlands (2002) and ¡ZAP! (2008). His collaborators for longform video art include The Crash Ensemble, Jürgen Simpson, Double Adaptor, Bad Lunatic and Thinker Org.
