LEE DUNNE

1934 - 2021

Lee Dunne was a novelist, playwright and short story writer. His debut novel Goodbye to the Hill (1965) has sold well over a million copies; the stage adaptation (listed below) became one of the longest-running plays in Irish theatre history. He wrote 2,000 radio scripts and plays for RTÉ, including Harbour Hotel, which was set in the fishing village of Kilmahon, and Convenience Corner. He lived in Co Wicklow.
