BRYAN COOPER

1884 - 1930

Major Bryan Cooper was an Irish soldier who fought at Gallipoli and wrote a book about this experience, The Tenth (Irish) Division in Gallipoli, published in London in 1918. Major Bryan Cooper was also a Unionist MP and then a Cumann na nGaedheal TD, elected to the 6th Dáil in 1927. He died early in 1930, before the premiere of his detective play Let the Credit Go at the Abbey.
