1954 -

Éilis Ní Dhuibhne has written novels, short stories and plays in both Irish and English. Her main works in English are the novels 'The Bray House', 'Singles', 'The Dancers Dancing' and her most recent novel 'Fox Swallow Scarecrow' (2007). She has also published four collections of short stories. She has been granted two bursaries from the Arts Council and she is a member of Aosdána. She is a recipient of the Stewart Parker Award, two Oireachtas awards, The Bisto Book of the Year Award. Two of her Irish language plays 'Milseog an tSamhraidh' & 'Dún na mBan Trí Thine' have been published by Cois Life and premiered by Amharclann de hÍde.
