Fergus Linehan (1)
Set in and around the small town of Carrickseamus, next year (1969).
A local Gombeenman cum politician who has looked after himself, his family and his 'friends' is challenged by a returning emigrant - a young man made good in England. The political party however side with the young man and having outgrown its need for the older man, they sacrifice him, making him a national hero.
