  • Setting

The action takes place in the kitchen and rear garden of a suburban house in Dublin over the course of a long, hot summer. The time is the present.

  • Synopsis

Revolving around one summer and four lives, we witness the irreversible changes to several households in Irish suburbia. Jean is a happily married housewife and mother to three young children. Her next door neighbour and best mate Noirin regards her home life as bordering on imprisonment. When new neighbours Damian and his wife Orla move in, things begin to change. Damian is Jean's old sweetheart, and he wants his own way in certain matters, while Orla is struggling in her new role of motherhood and can't seem to leave the office behind her.
