    It is February 1798. A Frenchman walks into the village of The Naul in North County Dublin. He is, he says, a prisoner-of-war escaped from an English jail. Soon he is training the local United Irishmen. He’s dubbed Vive La for exclaiming "vive la liberte" at every chance. But nothing is quite as it seems that winter of 1798...
