• Synopsis

  The play opens with a prologue on the life of the artist and that of Owen Rua Ó Súilleabháin. It ends with a trial and the artist is condemned to hell, for this is not an earth for artists. The basic theme of the play is who killed Owen Rua. The verdict is that like everyone else he mostly killed himself. The three acts are called Allegro Moderat, Scherzo and Andante.
