  A day in the life of an unnamed Irish town. A comic cruise through a magical world of pool-hall legends, wife-swapping Casanovas, fast girls and faster cars, prescription drugs, shoulders dislocated by love and windscreens smashed below in the square. Not to mention the taxi-driver who can tell you how you’ll die or the quare fella running the chipper who does a savage turn at Roy Orbison.
