  The play explores, in flashback and flashforweards, the events that lead to the death of Donie Ó hEadhra. Nuala Barrett describes how she ended up moving in with Donie, a local big builder and widower amidst local jealousy and gossip. Donie dies in Barcelona and all evidence seem to point to suicide but there are others who suspect otherwise.
