Raymond Carver
Adapted from the short stories "Intimacy," "Elephant" and "Gazebo" by Raymond Carver.
A meeting hall, somewhere in the American North West. Time: Not so long ago.
Three very ordinary men are brought together to share some not so ordinary experiences about their lives. They are coming to terms with sudden and unexpected trauma. A father is grappling with the lunatic financial demands being made on him by one of his children; another is wrestling with the infidelity of his young and beautiful wife, while the third man is trying to understand his disturbing obsession with his ex-wife. Is redemption to be found in sharing these stories? Or does the telling not alter anything in the end?
