Dear Ireland I consisted of 50 short monologues written by 50 writers. Pre-recorded and streamed online by the Abbey Theatre, the plays were self-taped by the performers from social isolation. Dear Ireland I was followed by Dear Ireland II and Dear Ireland III, a series of letters, and postcards (respectively), submitted by the public, read by actors from the Abbey stage, and streamed online.
